This just spoke to me today.
Too often we wait for someone else to save us. Someone to rescue us. Someone to heal us. A load of money to drop from the sky or even a dream to come true.
But the realty is, you have to work for it. Sure, a lot of people do "end up" with good things happening to them. But it is my belief that when you work hard, good things will come to you. Being the victim in your own story, doesn't allow your story to grow and flourish in the way that you were designed.
I'm going to be the heroine in my story. My story may not save lives, and it doesn't have to. It just needs to be happy. OH, and that magical word of the year ... authentic. ;) Happy Day friends.

A man who wants a garden fair
or small or very big,
with flowers growing here and there
must bend his back and dig.
The things are mighty few on earth
that wishes can attain,
Whate'er we want of any worth
we've got to work to gain.
It matters not what goal you seek,
it's secret here reposes:
You've got to dig from week to week
to get Results or Roses.
Sara, I love this poem by Edgar Guest. Your post reminded me of it. I come back to your blog every now and then, and I keep meaning to email because I get to hear from you so often, but you never hear from me!! Anyway, I hope commenting here is a small start. Have a great Thursday! Anita Y.
