So after my first Stitch Fix, I left you hanging on whether or not I got the bright blue blouse. In the end, I did ship it back. And honestly, I haven't regretted it or thought twice about it. I did add comments asking for suggesting that I LOVED that color and would love to see something in my "fix" that was that color! :) I think they like that kind of feedback, or I hope! My total spent was the $25 styling fee that went towards the cost of the one item I purchased, that was $48. So all-in-all, I spent $48 for one item.
While filling out info and sending that back they asked "when would you like your next fix?" Um, now? No, I tried to wait a bit pushing it to nearly a month between fixes. I am NOT made of money afterall! :) However, I was anxious to see what the next fix would contain.
I picked April 18th as my date and on April 15, it arrived on my doorstep -- EARLY! :) Again, I liked everything I saw -- the color pallette, the style and feel in general.
I personally lay everything out and look at it, try to gather a few things I think might go well and wait for an "ideal time" to try things on (ie. no sticky hands present and feeling good about myself). This time my hair was not ideal -- I had a hair appointment so I wasn't doing my hair before that. ;)
I got 5 items -- 3 shirts, 1 dress and an accessory. That seems to be the "standard" fix as far as I can tell.
Here was the first item, a peachy/coral colored lightweight sweater with V details and gold flecks.
I liked this and especially liked it on. I love the color on me and the V stripes HELP A GIRL OUT. However, I was challenged with how to wear this in real life. I'm likely not getting this piece, although I liked it.
Then I fell in LOVE with this gauzy white sheer tank from the box. It has this beautiful lace/embroider detail at the neck line that is really really pretty.
But, it made me look GIGANTIC. I want to look smaller, not bigger. Boo. I liked that, it just didn't like ME. OH, that also has the necklace from my fix too ... it's gold with have of it dipped and the color red. Cool necklace, not a cool price tag at $38 for a piece I liked, but didn't love. Boo.
So then I tried on the cardigan they sent. As soon as I saw it in the box I thought "oh yes, that is ME." Likely because I own varieties of this in other colors. I tried it on, and it's like butta.
This is my jam. I can wear this all spring over stuff and with a variety of stuff. I will get it for sure. And I played with it a bit and I can wrap it to make a tighter fitting top. :)
And finally, I tried on the dress. I was not sure how the dress was going to look on me and NOT what I'd gravitate to in a store. I loved the color but wasn't sure how the fabric would look on me ...
Do you sense my trepidation? I wasn't even sure what to wear for shoes or on my legs. However, I think it looks OK. Here is another shot without the necklace so you can see the neck line better. It's out of focus but you get the detail!
So ... I don't now about this dress. I'm going to think on it. I do have a couple of events coming up that I could wear it to and I LIKE that it is different from what I normally wear. I am doing this to PUSH my boundaries a bit, right? :)

*note* In terms of $$, this is a SPLURGE for me and I saved some money from my birthday to do this. I am still trying to be frugal and still my pieces for the most part need to be <$50 for me to get them. Again, I am doing this to push my boundaries, dress with a little more class and change it up a bit! :)
